A multiple blade saw should be selected around the panel you process and the cut or groove you need to produce. In the OMAC MJS1300 range, the X3, XD3 and XD4 share a catalog panel width range of 200–1220 mm, but differ in maximum thickness, spindle size and motor power. The XT2 adds upper and lower spindles for a different processing task.
Start with material, dimensions and the required operation. A model name alone does not establish whether a machine is suitable for your particular panel.
Start with your panel thickness
The table below summarizes the original OMAC catalog. It is a useful shortlist, rather than a substitute for confirming the production configuration.
| Model | Panel thickness | Spindle motor power | Saw blade diameter | Feed speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MJS1300-X3 | 5–30 mm | 15 or 22 kW | 205 mm | 0–12 m/min |
| MJS1300-XD3 | 5–45 mm | 30 or 37 kW | 255 mm | 0–12 m/min |
| MJS1300-XD4 | 5–60 mm | 37 or 45 kW | 270 mm | 0–12 m/min |
| MJS1300-XT2 | 5–30 mm | 15 or 22 kW | 205 mm | 0–12 m/min |
All four pages list a minimum panel length of 600 mm and a spindle speed of 2600 r/min. Feed speed is the catalog range; achievable output depends on material, cutting arrangement and the rest of the production process.
Separate cutting from grooving requirements
The MJS1300-X3, XD3 and XD4 pages describe panel cutting and surface grooving. Their listed applications include MDF, plywood, melamine board and cement fiber board, among other boards.
For two-sided grooving, examine the MJS1300-XT2. OMAC describes this model as having both upper and lower spindles. The catalog also lists simultaneous panel cutting and surface grooving as an application.

The required groove depth, spacing, kerf and tooling arrangement should be discussed with OMAC for your actual panel. These are not fully specified by the comparison table.
Check the space around the machine
Catalog overall dimensions also differ:
- X3: 2100 × 1800 × 1400 mm.
- XD3: 2400 × 1850 × 1500 mm.
- XD4: 3100 × 1850 × 1500 mm.
- XT2: 2500 × 1800 × 1400 mm.
These are machine dimensions. They do not include every access, feeding or handling allowance your workshop may require. Plan the panel path and ask for the installation layout before placing an order.
Prepare a useful machinery inquiry
Send the material type, minimum and maximum panel dimensions, thickness range, desired finished strip dimensions and whether you need cutting, grooving or both. Include your intended daily workload and the equipment before and after the saw.
With those details, OMAC can discuss the appropriate model and configuration. For a connected handling arrangement, also see our automatic production line guide.
